About us

Who we are

Mobile Meals of Marshall, Inc. is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to nourishing our neighbors and supporting independent living for seniors and homebound residents.
Our Roots
Founded in 1971 by Marshall resident Sue Cowgill, Mobile Meals began with a simple act of kindness — preparing meals for a handful of neighbors who needed support. What started around a kitchen table quickly grew into a coordinated program that, for over 50 years, has brought food and friendship to hundreds of residents across the Marshall community.
Our Community Commitment
We are sustained by the generosity of the Marshall United Way, local churches, memorial gifts, and contributions from community members who believe in our mission. With the dedication of more than 40 volunteer drivers, we not only deliver meals but also deliver reassurance, dignity, and the comfort of knowing that neighbors are looking out for one another.

Our approach

Our Mission in Action

In partnership with Oaklawn Hospital, every meal is prepared under the guidance of a registered dietitian to meet the nutritional needs of our clients. Volunteer drivers deliver these meals five days a week, ensuring timely service and providing a daily wellness check that helps clients feel safe, cared for, and connected. No one is turned away because of financial hardship — we are here for all who need us.

Our Vision

To create a community where every elderly, handicapped, and home-bound resident has access to nutritious meals and the support they need to live independently and with dignity.
